We are very pleased to send you details on a roro-passenger ferry that we have exclusively on hand for sale, directly from her actual owners BOND SHIPPING. She is actually under Canadian Flag but the Owners could deliver the vessel under any flag, except USA.

The SIR ROBERT BOND is a Canadian built roro-passenger ferry, ice classed, that was ordered and operated by a Canadian Crown corporation during all her life, seasonally.. The vessel was decommissioned two years ago and then sold to a private company, BOND SHIPPING, last December (2016).

Since that company was intending to use her to carry their own product (peat moss) from Canada to the USA, the vessel had to be totally re classed with LLOYDS REGISTER to meet both countries standards. Therefore the vessel is presently undergoing a full mid-life refit that includes rebuilding two of the four main engines, that had the maximum running hours for LLOYDS, replacement of one of the generators, rebuilding of all pumps, compressors, generators, etc. Etc.

The vessel is for sale after dry dock passed, with all certificates from LLOYDS valid, with new paint job, hull testing, shafts pulled out, rudders dismantled, etc. The vessel will be sold in full running condition, ready to make money, this within 90 days from signing an MOA and depositing in trust of 50% of the purchase price. The remaining money will be disbursed at time of delivery only. It is to note that the buyers could choose the color of the hull, if they wish so.

The vessel can be seen in Clarenville, Newfoundland, with two days notice, and if the purchasers desire so, BEAUSEJOUR PEAT MOSS could employ the vessel almost all year around to deliver their product to the East Coast of the USA, as per separate agreement to be negotiated. The vessel has a deadweight of 3700 m.t. approximately and a lightship weight of 5100 m.t.

One important thing to understand is that the ferry was upgraded 4 years ago at a cost of $2.4 Mil. CND and she is now going through a major refit that will cost close to $3. Mil. CND; she will be in a like new condition and will serve her new owners for many years to come without major investment on her, just routine maintenance.

We are attaching some details on her and if more info is needed we will be more than pleased to provide it against buyers particulars.

The asking price is US$4.5 Mil, and BOND SHIPPING are opened to any reasonable offer.
