PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This product is a hydraulic power unit (HPU) and control panel which can pump and store hydraulic fluid at high pressure (HP=10Kpsi) and low pressure (LP=3Kpsi). The HPU has a series of valves and controls to allow the trained user to operate functions on customer field equipment when connected via, for example, hydraulic connectors/stabplates, hose jumpers and umbilical reeler. The full set of equipment comprises an Intervention Workover Control System (IWOCS) designed to, but not limited to, operate in the Central and Northern North Sea on semi sub or monohull drilling vessels for decommissioning work.

The unit can be operated in a hazardous are Zone 1, gas Group IIB, Temperature T5 environment and is suitable for rig air at 100psi and 230 V AC / 60 Hz electrical supply for the lighting system.

There are a maximum of 5 off HP lines including spares and 28 off LP lines including spares for connections.

The accumulator bank installed in the unit comprises 2 off 10Kpsi/690 bar max pressure 35 litre accumulators and 5 off 6Kpsi/420 bar max pressure (although working pressure is reduced to 3Kpsi) 50 litre accumulators.

There is a return tank volume of 600 litres and a supply tank volume of 1000 litres. A transfer pump moves hydraulic fluid from the return tank to the supply tank and is operated by the trained user.

The HP & LP pumps are Hydratron: 1 off DA-66 for the LP system and 2 off DA-118’s for the HP system. The second DA-118 is a backup/secondary pump for supplying both the HP system and the LP system via a pressure reducing valve.
